Remember that recap I wanted to post on Monday...well I need to do it...more for my memories sake than anything else. There are things that I don't want to forget about that week! It was spirit week for Owen and while I forgot to take a pic of him dressed as a cowboy, I didn't forget to take one of him with his CRAZY HAT for crazy hat day. David made it for him after church that Wed. night. He made it out of pipe and other doo-dads that I don't know the proper plumbing term for! He worked hard on it and was really creative and I was so happy to see him being involved and doing something for school instead of ME!! Since he did it after Owen was in bed, we were trying to check measurements and stuff with Owen asleep, it ended up being a little too small for his noggin. So I did damage control and had the idea to get his already crazy snow hat from Disney and sort of tie the pipe hat to that and then tie it around his head so it wouldn't fall off. He was quite please with his crazy hat! I know this picture is a little blurry but its far better than the ones with all the ridiculous fake smiles and gestures he was making in all of the other ones! Plus you can see the hat the best in this one.
This same day was "Bring your Favorite Stuffed Animal to School Day" for Cooper. He chose his beloved Sally!!! My other boys are blankie kids he likes his stuffed animal!
We had a few really nice days that week and I wanted to share the cutie patootie face I got while trying to snap some pics of Emma enjoying her first tastes of spring!
I don't know if she likes showing off her teeth or what but she seems to be giving this silly face alot and usually it is accompanied by this weird breathing noise half through her nose half through her mouth type thing. Its original that's for sure! But its so darn cute the way her little nose wrinkles all up!
Then there was Friday which was Roller Skating Day for the kids who completed the reading goals for the contest at school. They encouraged parents to go so I went. I have not been on roller skates since I was in highschool...so strange to be on them again. After putting them on I sat on the bench for a few minutes debating the best way to get up and not tumble to the ground! But it was like riding a bike, once I was up and rollin' it was all good!
Friday was a SPECTACULAR weather day...so fantastic that you wanted to eek every last minute of it outside! It was great. And to make the day even better I got a package with the hand-knit hat that I ordered for Emma from Etsy. Took tons of fun pics of her in it. Its so hard to pic favorites, but here are a few....
AND MY FAVE, FAVE, FAVORITE....
The rest you can see the rest of Emma's cutesy hat pics here!
Now for a few of the G-man, who is just so full of life and can pretty make anyone smile...
SEE...DOESN'T THAT FACE MAKE YOU SMILE!!!!
Can you see the michief in his eyes???
I got a quite a few of the above type shots, before I finally got this one....
And lastly....Grady being a Tiger...which he enjoys being ALOT these days!
The rest of our fun "enjoying spring" pics are HERE!
I will have to do a completely different post to cover this past weekend and share all the cute pics I have of the kids with Baby Hannah, but for now...I have got to get some sleep!! Hope these fun spring pics brought some sunshine to this otherwise cold and dreary sort of day, complete with flurries...someone want to explain that to me...sunny and 72 Monday and Tuesday and snow flurries on Thursday...it's just NOT RIGHT!!!
LOVE the hat Aimee!!
